The Treasury promised to scrap the outdated and openly sexist tax on tampons, sanitary napkins and mooncups in January 2016. WE WON! In March, we made history when Parliament accepted an amendment to abolish the tampon tax, proposed by the incredible MP Paula Sherriff. Following the complications of Brexit, this change will be implemented by 2022 at the latest. It`s boring. But it`s our turn! This should be complemented by resources from the new fund and a predefined framework for restructuring the entire stock of existing external public debt, while leaving sufficient fiscal space for reconstruction to avoid future debt crises. To be effective, debt relief must be comprehensive and cover both private and public creditors. HMRC estimates that the UK`s largest companies have underpaid their taxes by £36 billion.
